Teacups Counselling is housed at 40 Titirangi Rd which has a very ‘modern homely’ feel. There is ample parking on the premises behind the green fence you see on Titirangi Rd.
Clients are met and greeted by me personally in the reception area once an appointment time has been established with me.
Also within this beautiful villa, we have Osteopaths, massage therapists and a range of other professional services, including Counselling. The clinic has been established for over thirty years, and has been accepted and respected in the community as reflected by the client referrals from several sources including local GPs.
Clients who wish to go through ACC sensitive claims, have the option of meeting with me at either New Lynn or Massey.
Kia ora. I am a Counsellor who is trained in Imago Couples Therapy as well as working with individuals. I help couples learn practical skills and develop more compassion and understanding towards one another enabling better communication between the couple. Imago therapy helps couples understand the impact that childhood experiences have on the relationship and why we trigger one another unconsciously. Couples learn new ways of communicating where they truly feel heard and understood. Some couples want to build upon a relationship that is ok, some want to resolve long-standing difficulties; some are near break-up and want help deciding if the relationship is worth holding onto. Whatever the reason I am willing to sit with any couple without any judgements, in a confidential safe manner. I offer after hour appointments if required.
I also work with individuals from around 18 years plus. I am approved by ACC which means I work with sexual abuse clients funded by ACC. Other areas I work with include grief, anxiety, depression, anger management, self-esteem, life coaching, parenting issues.
I have a friendly, down to earth style of practice with a passion for helping you live whatever way you choose to live. Feel free to call/text/email me to discuss any other issues you may want to talk about that is not listed above.
Kia ora. My husband and I have been married for over thirty years and know how wonderfully amazing the journey can be, but at the same time we discovered just how hard it is to stay together long-term. After engaging in many opportunities to grow our relationship, we have discovered much about Our Relationship and ourselves as individuals . My specialist training in Imago Couples Therapy has contributed to much of this learning. I continuously update my counselling skills so I can provide a quality service for my clients in a safe environment of empathy and understanding. We have three adult children and now wonderful grandchildren.
